Legal Question in Disability Law in New York
How does the ADA treat infectious diseases? Are they recognized as disability and are any protections offered to those infected? (my specific concern is TB) Any NY state laws that might apply?

The ADA covers persons with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities; has a record of such an impairment; or is regarded as having such an impairment. TB or when it is non-infectious or other similar diseases are covered under the ADA whether you actually have a physical disability or regarded as having a disability.
