Legal Question in Disability Law in New York

Hello:

My father passed away leaving an insurance policy and his home. My brother is interested in moving into the property and take full ownership. He is asking that siblings and I sign renunciation papers for the entire estate. Please inform me of the pros and cons to signing this. Thanks so much

Get yourself to a will/trusts and estates atty NOW (this inquiry s/h been in that section). Do NOT SIGN ANYTHING, and if someone harrasses you, say "I really cannot talk about it-my atty said so"-blame it on the atty-that is our job.
