Legal Question in Disability Law in New York
legal integrity
I recently lost a complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights against a local bank. I believe it was based on public accommodations. The bank stated that the Americans with disabilities act covered only persons with physical disabilities. I k now that is untrue. I know the attorney from the bank knows that is not true. He represented our local transit company in a public accommodations lawsuit I had going against them. Do I have the basis of a grievance, complaint against him?

Re: legal integrity
The section of the ADA on public accommodation refers to individuals with physical limitations. Title I covers employment situations where the disability does not necessarily manifest itself in a visible physical impairment. As for a suit against the attorney . . . no.
