Legal Question in Disability Law in New York
I was signed as an At Will employee/art consultant and the company let me go stating, "we are going to have to let you go and we aren't gooing to give you any reason or explanation."
From there on my request for Severance as denied. I recently filed for Unemployment Insur (NY) and am waiting to hear about confirmation/acceptance of my claim. * Does the employer have any recourse/reason for denying or blocking my receipt of benefits? i.e. citing misconduct or other?

It is impossible to say if your employer has a true basis or will lie in an attempt to deny your unemployment.
