Re: switching jobs

First of all, there is no law requiring you to provide two-weeks notice when leaving a job. It is a courtesy, and one that most corporations do not provide employees with when they fire or lay you off.

Upon receiving your notice, your employer may very well show you the door that same day, in which case, you could jeopardize your disability benefits.

In this case, waiting out the disability should be considered, but you may wish to consult with an attorney in your area.
