Legal Question in Disability Law in New York

I am writing because I am a person with a disab ility, arthritis, and I need the use of lifts, ramps and elevators to get in and out of buildings. I do use a cane. Recently, I had to leave a building at night, after an event, and I could not operate tywo of the electric lifts, and neither could a woman who was trying to help me. I did have to walk quite a distance because of those two lifts. Do I have an ADA public accommodations case, here?

A one time event does not make a case in your situation given that the owner of the building is attempting to comply with the ADA by providing access to his/her building, You may have a case if the owner of the ramp refuses to make any repairs.
