Legal Question in Administrative Law in New York

I'm affiliated to a middle school in the Bronx, NY, that is looking to expand to include 7-12 grade, as well as incorporate a boarding element for those students that need more structure in their home lives. What are the legal expectations/regulations that will apply to this shift?

If you can just direct me to what resources that I may look at, as well as what types of regulations will apply to our situation, that would be of much help!

Your best bet is to directly inquire the New York State Board of Education and to inquire about existing available programs and try to speak to the managers/administrators of the likely situated board.
