Legal Question in Administrative Law in New York
I bought a brand new car. After the second payment, I was sent a release of lien and a thank you letter for making the final payment on the account. The release of lien states that the lien holder's interest in the car has been absolved. Do I still have to pay on this car legally, or do I have an arguement for not continuing payment.

Unless the loan was a very small one, this sounds like a mistake by the lender. If you don't want to run into problems, I would call them and clear it up.
