Legal Question in Administrative Law in New York
carring a pistol
I am a NYS Correction Officer with Peace Officer status and I am allowed to carry a pistol it is registered on my badge and also have a pistol permit for them I am planning a trip to Washington DC and wanted to know if I am allowed to carry my pistol under the peace officer status or am I just restructed to my own stae of NY

Even as a NYS peace officer you can't carry within NY City, unless you obtain a separate license. I would expect the same to apply to DC and other cities, although I have not specifically looked up the statutes, you are free to do so.
