victim is droppin assault charges and wants order protection taken away.what will happen?

The DA's office may stil pursue the case, and in all likelihood they will... they have a constitutional time limit in which to bring your case (called 30.30) - at that point if they do not have the support of a witness, then the case must be dismissed... however, if you have a private attorney they can move to see if the case can be dismissed sooner.
