Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in New York
petition
i am a resident planing to get married to a noresident living in Jamaica, is there any way i can get her to come to the states before getting married.She is also a medical student in a year she will need to attend medical school in the states,so what is the best thing for me to do.

She could come to the states as a visitor and then apply to change her status after the marriage. But you should consult with an immigration attorney to determine the best way to do this. Sometimes the process goes faster when you begin it abroad.
