what will happen to me
Hello, I was arrested yesterday for Petit Larceny (Shoplifting) at a store. The police released me with an appearance ticket and no bail. I am 18 and have no criminal record or tickets. Dont know why I did it. I dont want to go to jail. i just want to know what could possible happen to me when i go to court.

It depends on the Court and the District Attorney. Most likely, the charge will be reduced to a violation such as disorderly conduct. Sometimes the person is order to attend a stoplift program.
Pleading guilty to a misdemeanor means jail. Therefore, I would strongly suggest that you retain a lawyer.
