Legal Question in Banking Law in New York
Had a business partner. He Quit.
We both went to our bank with a letter saying he quit.
We sat down with branch manager and both signed the letter. We asked that he be removed from our account.
Manager said he would do it.
Now, more than five years later, I find our that ex-partner was not removed. He still has full rights to the account!
Can I Sue?

you can probably collect from the bank if the ex partner took money out of the account. If he did it is also a police matter and it may be an easier way to collect than suing the bank

You could sue if there were damages sustained but as said above, there might be easier ways to recoup lost funds without going to court.
