Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
722 redemption law reopening a bankruptcy
I filed for BK in 2003 without an attorney which I could not afford. I was not aware that I should have filed for the motion 722 redemption law for my auto loan. I have since been struggling to make payments. I have researching my options of this upside down loan. Please help me explore my options. Can I reopen my BK?

Yes, you can make a petition to re-open and then amend your petition to include the auto payments.
The auto may be reatined by you as an exclusion under the law.
