Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Advice Needed
My Chapter 13 case was dismissed because of things that were overlooked by my lawyer, whom I paid $1500 and was a no show at my confirmation hearing. I was advised by a friend to have my lawyer to file a motion to put my case back on the calender. Is this doable or is there anything else that can be done by my lawyer to have my present case reopened so that I will not have to start over and have to wait months for confirmation. Please offer some advice as time is of the essence. Thanking you in advance for any advice you can offer.

Re: Advice Needed
The best method is a motion to vacate the Dismissal Order. But, you must ask why was it dismissed? Are you prepared to immediately attend to all omissions? You are in a serious situation and need legal counsel. Either your present attorney or new counsel.
