Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Balance transfer & cash advances Ch7

mom (95)has been making balance transfers and cash advances to keep her 65K all credit cards bills current. This activity is as current as of this month. Her income is 1800$ per month (ss/rr pension) only asset her home valued at 50K. I think she shd look into bankruptcy, but I need to know if she spoke to an attorney now (this month), would it look like she did the transfers to discharge all in bankruptcy? ( many done in past 90 days including this month)

Does the clock start ticking the minute she asks advice of a bankruptcy attorney?

If she continues to make payments for 6 months or so with no transfers/cash advances would then be better time to file?
