Can I sell my home after I have filed for bankruptcy? If I do, can I keep any proceeds/

Good question.

Your answer depends on when you plan to list your house for sale.

You can't do anything during the pendency of your case (before your case is discharged) without the permission of the Trustee.

After your case is discharged, you still must wait for a period of time before you can do anything major with money (like the sale of a home). After that time passes, however, you are free to sell your home.

You can, But you must be careful that you do not have so much equity in the home that the Trustee will sell your home to pay your creditors.
