Re: help with bankruptcy
You can do a Bankruptcy by yourself but you are crazy if you do. Depending on your situation, it may be in your wife's best interest not to file with you.
Call my office at 718-888-3108 to schedule an appointment to see if Bankruptcy is right for you. Remember, the longer you wait, the longer those harrassing phone calls will continue. I look forward to hearing from you.
Very truly yours,

Re: help with bankruptcy
Yes, you can fo it by yourself. However (unlike in civil court) the Bankruptcy Court clerks do not assist people. Legal Aid does prepare bankruptcy petitions for free (if you meet their income qualifications -- I volunteered there for a year helping out in the 'consumer law' department in Brooklyn doing indigent bankruptcies for people).
However, if you don't meet their income qualifications, I would be happy to assist you. Since you clearly don't have much money, we could work it out to make it fit your budget.
In addition, you are welcome to a consultation for no fee at my offices at 42 West 44th Street, NY,NY. Please call for an appointment first. (646)591-5786 or (718) 729-2029
