Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Bankruptcy....
Hello! My brother has worked off the books most his life. He's not filed taxes in as long as I can remember. However he has had credit cards and has been good at paying them. He's become unemployed and has faultered on the payments BIG TIME. He's never made much. Just to keep him afloat. No car, home, etc.... Can he file bankruptcy due to his inability to pay these now staggering credit card bills? Thank you so much!!!

Yes. The lack of tax returns is not a bar to filing Bankruptcy or getting an order of discharge.
