how do i get my bankruptcy closed
I went to court back in june. I filed a chapter 13 and i am payin monthly on this. i went to buy a car an it says the case is still open. when does it closed after the 5 year payment plan or before that

Your case will close when your discharge is granted (or if your case is dismissed). The court will act to close the case on motion of the Trustee. The Trustee will move to discharge after you have completed your Plan (or move to dismiss if you fail to complete your Plan). There is a way for the debtor to close the case before either of these occurrences, but that very, very rarely is in the Debtor's best interest, so I do not post it here.
If you had an attorney help you with your Chapter 13, speak with him or her regarding how make major purchases (such as a car) while your case remains open; it can often be done. If you did not have an attorney, you may contact my office to discuss my taking you on mid-Plan.
