Can a Judgement, coming from a petty larceny case be filed under bankruptcy?

Re: Bankruptcy
A debtor certainly must report to the Bankruptcy Court (on the Petition) any judgment against him/her for any crime (such as petit larceny). Individual circumstances dictate whether the judgment will get discharged (the presumption is that it will not and Debtor will have to continue paying on it).

Re: Bankruptcy
If it is a criminal fine or penalty, then it would not be dischargeable. If it is a civil penalty, it would generally be dischargeable. Please contact my office directly if you would like to discuss your situation further.
