Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
I'm looking for a bankruptcy lawyer who will help me settle my credit debt (maybe $10,000 in debt). I want to settle this before it's too late.

Generally, Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Petitions in Bankruptcy are appropriate for individuals seeking to get a forgiveness of their unsecured (credit card) debt. Chapter 7 results in a total forgiveness of dischargeable debts and Chapter 13 affords the individual an opportunity of 3 years or 5 years to pay back some (usually a very small percentage) of the debts owed by the individual. If you reside in the Hudson Valley Region, a member in this firm can file a Chapter 7 petition (usual legal cost is $1,500) or a Chapter 13 Petition (usual legal cost is $3,500).
