Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Bankruptcy questions

I have been disabled since March of this year. Money is very low. Insurance company is extremely slow in paying. I tried to talk with a couple of different laywers in my area. What I don't understand is if the vehical was repossed they can take your assests. Will they take my home and sell it? Even though I owe money to the bank? Will I get to keep my home even though I am not living there at this time? Will I lose my pension?
