Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

Bankruptcy & Quitclaim Deed

Dad will be filing for ch7 in the next 6-8 months, I have found a quitclaim deed he signed and had notorized in 2005 puting the home in 4 kids names with him having life use, But it wasn't filed. If get it filed now won't the Bankruptcy judge think he was hiding his only asset? It would be considered ''exempt'' anyhow I believe. And yes I will contact an attorney but can you answer this question? We are in New York.
