Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Bankruptcy Time Limits
Can property be sold immediately after discharge with no repercussion from bankruptcy court and how long does a referee have to let me know if property is exempt or not? (1st meeting of creditors was 12/17/03, have heard nothing since).

Re: Bankruptcy Time Limits
If the bankruptcy is concluded and you are disharged, the property you own is yours and you may dispose of it as you wish. However, your bankruptcy is only concluded when you receive an order from the court. From what you said you are not discharged and you are not free to sell your property without an order of the court.
