chap7 bankruptcy in ny

I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, I was going to sign a reaffirmation contract for my car but I may decide to surrender the car. How long before I need to surrender the vehicle? I have not met with the trustee yet.

The Trustee will let you know when s/he will need you to surrender the car, if that is what you want to do.
