Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
In a chapter 7 bankruptcy case, do the court or the creditors have the right to contact my employer and/or view my salary contract information, hire dates, etc.?

No more right than they would otherwise have if there were not a bankruptcy. However the bankruptcy records themselves (that have some of that information) are public records.
