My co-worker filed for ch. 7 in 2002. HFC obtained lien on his home after he moved from there...City of Buffalo is coming after him for a user fee of $1800. Can they obtain this from him go after the lienholder. There is also a issue regarding demolition of home due to state of disrepair. What are his options? Thanks.

Re: City looking for user fee...

The short answer to your question is that your coworker needs an attorney to represent him/her in any action against a government entity (such as a city). These issues are way too big to address in a forum like this one.

If your coworker cannot afford an attorney, s/he might contact your local Legal Aid Society or a local law school for help.

Good luck.
