Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

customer's right and remedies

I live in Massachusetts, and I am a customer of an

on-line retailer headquartered in New York. I

bought personal items from the retailer and was

supposed to get rebates (about $5000) from the

retailer 10-week after the purchases. Now the

retailer filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 in

New York. What should I do ? Is there any

chance I can get my rebates ? Thank you.

Re: customer's right and remedies

Chapter 11 is a reorganization, not a

discharge so the possibility exists

you must file a claim with the Court and the

trustee. You may also contact the trustee

as to what his thoughts are on the issue
