Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
employee disability benefits
i am a dana corp. employee. they have filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was receiving long term disibility benefits before the chapter 11 filing. All of my benefits were stoped at the time of filing. Will these benefits resume after the case has been settled. How long does a corporate chapter 11 case normally take. thank you.

Re: employee disability benefits
The fate of your benefits depends on the fate of the company in Chapter 11, and those cases may take a long time to resolve. Sorry I can't be more definite, but I don't know the case. I do suggest you speak with your employer's human resources people about your concerns.
