How long after you no longer have property in your name can you file bankruptcy?

Depends upon why the property was transferred
and to whom
Gifts to relatives (no money changing hands)
are automatically recovered for one year
from transfer
Other transfers may be set aside if not
for adequate consideration for a period
of up to six years
The exact nature of the transfer needs to
be examined by an expert
