Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York

frozen checking account

I went bankrupt over 10 years ago and now a collection agency has out a judgemnt on me .. for what i went bankrupt on .. they froze my checking accout.. and went they sent me the judgment papers the date was 3 weeks past due .. any help would be thankful

You have many options here.

1. Inform the collection company of the facts.

2. If they decline to act to release your funds, then make an appointment with me. I can have their lawsuit dismissed.

But try talking to them first. It is cheaper and easier.

(If they refuse after knowing the facts, then they can be sued for lawyer fees as well as any inconveniences that you have suffered.)
