Are IRA's exempt from bankruptcy in New York State?
Are IRA's exempt from bankruptcy in New York State if the IRA is not invested in an employer's retirement plan?

Last time I checked, they were exempt unless the contributions to the IRA were deemed a fraudulent conveyance. And you might be surprised how many things are deemed fraudulent conveyances under NY law. Probably best to lay out all the facts to an attorney.
