Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
I have a judgment for marital property, debtor is filing bankruptcy
As part of the Judgment for divorce the Judge ruled that all marital property be sold by auction. My ex-wife was/is in control of this property and put it into storage where I had no access, it was never sold. I took her back to court to try and enforce the original order to no avail. I want back to court and won a judgment against my ex-wife/debtor for approx. $15,000.00. She filed only 3 days prior to the new bankruptcy laws changing , my ex-wife has filed bankruptcy , and my judgment will be dismissed, and she will still have possession of the marital property. I have till March 6, 2006 to object and have found some laws title 11 Chapter 5Subchapter 11 sS 523Exceptions of discharge. Nubber 4,5,11,13,15, and 19 seem to apply to my situation. I only have until March 6 to object to the trustee. I can't afford an attorney and need someone at a reduced rate or to do it probono or on a contingency. I'm about to lose all that I fought for and mostly lost..
