Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Leased vehicle under Chapter 7
I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy approximately 1 year ago. I continued to make timely payments on my leased vehicle. The lease has now matured and I have to turn in the vehicle. Will I be able to lease another vehicle even though I filed Chapter 7?

That decision depends on the position of the lessor (the company who you lease from). If you lease from the same lessor who you have made timely payments to for the past year, then I would guess that they would agree to another lease with you. It would be a case by case basis depending on the lessor.
