Re: life estate protection of home at bankruptcy

I AM RE-POSTING THE FOLLOWING POST THAT I PREVIOUSLY POSTED ON 5/26:

If you own a home you should hire an attorney if you are planning to file bankruptcy. Bankruptcy is really not a suitable topic for a "do it yourself" project. Since the amendments in Oct. 2005 to the Bankruptcy Code it has become more complex and there are many traps for the unwary. Trying to save a little money by doing itself could result in you losing your home. If you don't know how to locate a qualified attorney you can always call your local county bar association, most of which sponsor referral services that screen qualified attorneys to serve on their panels.
