Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Notice of Bankruptcy Filing sent to Children
Why would notice be sent to the children of a seperated spouse, notifying them the intent of the Father to file bankruptcy, when the children are only 3 years old.
What is the purpose for doing this, and would the children face any consequences, because of this?

Re: Notice of Bankruptcy Filing sent to Children
This does sound strange to me. Notice to the custodial parent or guardian would make sense.
This has an impact on the father's share of the 'marital estate' and on child support.
This is something you must alert your divorce lawyer of.
