Owning Assets after filing for Chapter 7
How soon after filing for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy can a debtor begin to own assets that will NOT be considered part of the Bankruptcy Estate?

When the judge says so, in NY on simple 7 about three months, barring any unforseen circumstances and facts not submitted in your question.
