Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
purchasing parents home
I have a land contract with my parents to buy five acres with a mobile home on it. They now have two judgements against the property for unpaid credit card debt. If my parents file for bankruptcy will they still be able to sell me the home and property?

Yes but subject to the judgment liens. Bankruptcy will not remove the liens. If the judgment liens are very new, within the last 90 days, it mauy be possible to remove them. If within 90 see a lawyer quickly.
