Legal Question in Bankruptcy in New York
Student loan and Credit Card Debt
I am in Debt up to my neck. I owe $12,000. in federaal student loans, $3,500. in N.Y.S. higher ed. loans and about $9,000. in credit cards. I gross $12,000. a year w/ two kids and I can't keep up any more. I know I can't file bankruptcy on federal student loans but can I on the rest? The credit cards and the new york state educational loans?

On the credit card only. However, you
may consider a Ch. 13 to spread payments out
longer and also eliminate the credit card
debt
