401k limit by a company

Can a company limit how much I put into my 401K when I'm not at the Federal guideline maximum?

Re: 401k limit by a company

A company can limit what they will match on their employees' 401(k) contributions, but, unless an agreement that exists between employee and company says something to the contrary, employee should be able to contribute up to the federal maximum to a 401(k) plan.
