adevertised price for a used car
if the advertised price for a used car is far beloww the cars value, and the dealer tells me it is a mistake. what legal grounds do i have

You can tell him you will file complaints with the BBB and state attorney general's office if he doesn't want to sell the car for that price. If it is really a mistake, then I would need to research it but an ad is not an offer that you can make binding by showing up and saying you'll take the car. If he intentionally made the mistake, then by filing complaints you will either find out that he has done this before and use that to your advantage or help keep him from doing it again.
