Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Agent/ principal representation international agreement
I have a product that someone is
interested in showing to prospective
customers and wants to sell on my
behalf for a commission. I am based
in NY State and he is looking to
represent me in Italy. We need to
draw up a contract and I hoped I
could find one online for purchase. I'd
think this is a fairly common
agreement. What kind of
form/contract should I be looking for?
Thx.

Re: Agent/ principal representation international agreement
I believe it would be impossible to find an online contract that is specific to your situation.
The problem with any international contract is enforcement. Specifically, who gets the money and how is the agreement enforced. You may need an international arbitration clause. You really need to retain an attorney to help draft the document.
