Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Auto Lease
I went into dealership to extend my lease on a 2006 auto. They persuaded me to consider something new. I thought I was over mileage went for it. After the signing of the lease, I was told by the dealership mgr that he does not have to pay the over mileage because I AM NOT over mileage nor out fo my lease. The contract says to pay overmileage of $108.41. It is not at all accurate. I've asked for the contract to be void half hour later, 12 hours later. Even called the leasing company to hold off on processing my paperwork They had not received it yet. The dealership refused to cancel. It is a week now. I've had no choice but to drive this car but am so sorry for ever walking into that dealership. Do I have any recourse?

Re: Auto Lease
Am I reading this right? You now have two leased cars (when you only want one) because the dealer got you to sign a new lease then refused to take back the old lease? Also, you asked to be released from the new contract within three days of having signed it and the dealer refused?
You need to hire a lawyer. Do NOT wait on this; TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE. I'm too far away to be of much use to you; however, you can get a referral to someone through either the NYS Bar Association (www.nysba.org) or your county's bar association.
BTW, I'd not use that car dealer again.
