Legal Question in Business Law in New York
Biased Customer Care
This sparked my curiosity. I heard of various grievances resulting from an (massive multi-player) online role playing game, charging subscriptions.
A five year long customer, for instance, would be pardoned from consistent and clear rule violations---Terms of Service.
While new comer who pays for one year in advance will receive a one or more month ban for his first violation.
Are there laws in place to prohibit this form behavior, or is this the discretion of the company?
I think it's a fascinating area of interpretation, and I appreciate your time.
Ps. Establishment is based in Germany, but does business all over the world to my knowledge.
