Re: business insurance
You should definitely contact an insurance broker to discuss the types of insurance you may need for your particular business. You should also look into forming a business entity (Corp or LLC) to protect you from personal liability. Operating as a sole proprietor offers you no protection whatsoever.
Re: business insurance
While I absolutely agree with what Mr. Brodsky wrote about forming a legal entity other than a "DBA" or sole proprietorship to do business under, I'll add the caveat that adequate business insurance can help protect your personal assets in the event of disaster, even as a sole proprietor/DBA.
You absolutely must contact an insurance agent or broker to discuss your insurance needs. You really do need a good general business liability policy at least; you may also need to be bonded, esp. if you are entering the property of others (which, with a cleaning business you would have to do), and you may have other insurance-type requirements.
Your local Chamber of Commerce probably has a bunch of insurance people as members; contact them for a referral if you need one.
