Re: business

You need to decide what state within the United States you wish to use to enter the country and register with that department of state as a foreign business corporation. Then you can use your corporation in that state to set up a home office and market from there.

That's a bare-bones answer; there are also almost certainly federal issues involved since you're talking about the communications industry.

Hope this helps.

Re: business

It depends on the nature of the services you want to offer. Most likely you'll not need a telecoms license for use of the wireless spectrum from the description you offer. You will, however, have to register as a foreign corporation in some US jurisdiction such as New York State, Delaware, etc., most likely.

If what you wish to do is based on a patent or patents that you have the rights to you may need to take steps; if they are covered by US or foreign patents you will likely need to secure the North American or broader rights to employ them.

You should retain an attorney knowledgeable in the telecoms space, and begin by describing precisely what you plan to do and how you plan to do it.

If you like you may contact my office and speak with me. I am both a telecoms law specialist and a telecoms law professor.
