Legal Question in Business Law in New York

Do I have a case???

I was hired for a job in the Financial services industry. My supervisor soon after told me that I should sleep with her when possible to assure I retain my job and would be offered any prefrence possible for growth. I slept with her on 2 occasions and successfully avoided her during other business trips. She has another claim brought against her and have been questioned by H.R. and avoided explaining my situation. My boss is a female and has a lot of power in the company and in the industry and want to avoid her from trying to give me a bad reputation in the industry or even lose my job with my current company. She made a threat that she would destroy my reputation if I ever mentioned this and dont know what to do. I just want to avoid the situation and let it disappear but was questioned and am very fearful of my job.

Please help!

Just to add to the prior post. You should speak to an attorney as soon as possible and not wait for something else to happen.

To add more to the prior two postings, this is not a legal point, but it is an important point. You should make sure you're comfortable with the attorney whom you hire to handle this matter for you. Interview lawyers (it's okay to meet three or four lawyers before you decide whom you wish to hire, just like you meet three or four doctors before you decide on the one you will use). You may be spending a good bit of time with your lawyer over this matter, and you do not need to be spending that time with someone whom you don't actually like as a human being.

THE INFORMATION PRESENTED HERE IS GENERAL IN NATURE AND IS NOT INTENDED, NOR SHOULD IT BE CONSTRUED, AS LEGAL ADVICE. THIS POSTING DOES NOT CREATE ANY ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN US. FOR SPECIFIC ADVICE ABOUT YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, CONSULT YOUR ATTORNEY.
