Legal Question in Business Law in New York

company profile setup

Hi I want to setup a company profile for my corporation which I only exist, I am the president, secratary, treasurer, etc., would it be illegal in a sense to use the follwing phrase when i interact with other companies or if someone was to click my company prifile on my web site

The Phrase is:

Corporate Headquarters

Located in the suburban community of Islip, NY U.S.A. The headquarters facility houses the company's administrative office, repair center, parts distribution and our technical support facilitiy.

Would i be illegal to express the above if I am the only person and employee who runs the corporation?, thanks Jay

Re: company profile setup

If that is a truthful statement, then it would appear to be fine. My question is whether you have separate designated areas for each of those functions. In other words, if you are sitting at your desk in the administrative office, paying the bills, processing orders for parts and answering technical questions over the phone, then you may wish to re-word the profile because it creates the appearance that there are separate and distinct departments.

There are many issues that an Internet attorney can go over with you to avoid problems down the road with your site that could shut down your business for short or longer periods of time or get you sued. I'm also wondering why you chose the complicated corporation structure, which required so many time draining formalities, instead of an LLC. An Internet lawyer could go over this and the intellectual property issues with your site and give you the perspective so you can decide issues like this yourself in the future.
