Legal Question in Business Law in New York
contracts with minors
I am a used car dealer. I sold a car 4
months ago and recieved a complaint
from the owner of a few problems of
this vechicle. I'am no longer liable for
providing warranty to this car, but
they r stating the person was at the
age of 17 and the contract is voided.
now i'am being sued. what can i do?

A minor has the right to void a contract up until they are of age. If the purchaser is still 17 you may find yourself taking the vehicle back, working or not.
I suggest that you contact an attorney to discuss the details in order to protect your rights.
